This year at the POINT conference (Political Accountability and New Technologies) there were also speakers from the Citizens Foundation, Iceland, giving a presentation “Online Citizens Participation in Iceland and Worldwide.” The conference took place from 23rd to 26th of May, 2013, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the presentation, Robert Bjarnason and Gunnar Grimsson presented several online eDemocracy platforms that operate on the principle of crowdsourcing – Better Reykjavik, Participatory Budgeting in Reykjavik, Your Priorities and also Balkan e-Democracy Startup Project.

After the POINT conference we got an invitation to participate as speakers at the 2nd Government Communication Conference (SEECOM) in Budva, Montenegro, from 27th to 29th of September. We are very interested in the opportunities to present our work so we accepted this invitation too and we will be in Budva this autumn.
